Chug = Chinese Hone of Undetermined Grit
These natural polishing stones from Guangxi China are usually sold as being a 12k stone. Thus far, I have not seen one come close to being an equivalent to any 12k stone I’ve experienced.
These Chugs do polish, and they are slow, and they will put a ‘finish’ on a razor’s edge. From what I’ve seen, these stones are more of a high mid-range stone.
