Boxed NOS Pike #1 Washita
This NOS Pike #1 Washita oilstone dates to the very early part of the 1900s, pre 1930 for sure.
It’s not often that one can find a NOS Pike Washita in its original box. This is the #1 grade Washita, second only to the Lily White grade. It’s been said they those two are the same quality stone, but the Lily White examples were, visually, more consistently white.
Originally, this stone was glued into the bottom section of its box, but the glue failed and now the stone can be removed easily. There are no traces of oil or use anywhere on this stone or its box.
