Asano Stamped Mikawa Shiro Tenjyou Nagura
Tenjyou is a middle-range Nagura. Any one piece can be finer than another, and possibly finer than a Mejiro Nagura. Most, but not every, Tenjyou are usually a bit softer than most Mejiro Nagura, and they’re also somewhat easier to work with.
This stone is soft and fast – the slurry breaks quickly initially and it will continue to refine further for some time. This is a large stone that slurries easily.
