The Rolls Razor company offered a line of replacement parts, and I’m guessing that they sold a lot of replacement hones. These thin slabs of synthetic abrasive were fragile and quite brittle. Many were just popped into the cover and held in place with two tabs. Some were glued in though, and I think that was a more durable option. At any rate, I’m sure many Rolls Razor users had spare hones on hand.
