A lovely Translucent, measuring 5x2x1, with sort of a butterscotch tinge. The box is unique, hand made, and extremely old. The stone fits with zero wiggle – a perfect fit all around. The original hinge was leather that rotted out and was replaced by brass hinges. I have to assume this set up was from the 1800s, later boxes for Arks do not show this level of craftsmanship, or attention to fit. I also have to factor in that leather takes a very long time to rot and crumble.
