This is my ‘Original’ or ‘Type 1’ Flax Linen Fire Hose strop. The hoses I use for this ‘style’ were manufactured in the 1950s or earlier. This is the heaviest, thickest and most aggressive material in all of the Flax Linen Fire Hose Strops.
