The leather is superb; 8 oz hard rolled horsehide with the slicker finish. The broken-in quality is intoxicating. The draw is fast but not quite as speedy as, say – cordovan shell. The manly spicy woodsy fragrance wafting off this hide smells exactly like you’re thinking it does. The barber’s end keeps it quiet while preserving the aesthetic; this is a superb working mans strop, nothing more and nothing less.
