These Hakka Tomo Nagura can be used on any stone to create a soft silky Tojiru. For a nice final finish on cutlery, or an upper mid-range polish on a razor – these nubbins really do a nice job of putting a stunning haze on the bevel.
These were cut from a stone taken from the shallow Akapin strata at the Hakka mine, but I’ve used them on all types of stones, including Suita. Mixing and matching different types of Tomo Nagura can bring surprisingly good results.
These are very soft non-layered stones, they must be lacquered to prevent excess water ingress.
