Dressante with Manganese Spots
I’m borrowing the ‘spotted dog’ name from Jarrod at the Superior Shave. I bought one from him years ago, and foolishly – I sold it. The original SD was also a Dressante, so I’m wondering if these pronounced Manganese spots are specific to that vein.
This puppy is smaller than my original ‘spotted dog’ – so I’m calling it the spotted doggie.
What?
You don’t think I can be whimsical?
Pffft…I am seriously freaking whimsical.
Anyway….
This one has a bit of softness, and it’s fast on slurry. On water it’s slower but not very slow. I see this one fitting into my Coticule line-up as a posh slurry stone. That being said – it’s also quite serviceable as a start-to-finish straight razor hone, and it gives up seriously nice edges.
