This edge had been honed on synthetic 1k, 3k and 5k stones. Following that, it was stropped on linen and leather. In an effort to dial the edge up into the stratosphere, I put some 0.5 µm diamond paste on a horsehide leather strop and gave it about 25 passes and then I imaged the edge.
As you can see – there’s a slight foil developing. What will happen is this; after another 40-80 laps or so that foil will disappear and the edge will be pin-straight.
