This edge had been honed on a full synthetic progression, and finished on a Gokumyo 20k. That edge was shave-tested and then a French ‘Special Stone’ was used to improve it.
That ‘Special Stone’ edge was then significantly improved on a hard Kiita Jnat. The photo above shows the Kiita edge before the shave test.
